Stray ferret turns out to be a mink

A Grand Falls-Windsor family found this furry creature in their trash can eating a piece of ham. They brought it to a local SPCA.
Staff at the SPCA thought it was a pet ferret who had somehow escaped until they posted a picture of the animal on the shelter's Facebook page.

Comments began pouring identifying the animal as a mink.
"He was nervous, but he wasn't acting any different. I thought he was just upset that he had been thrown outside."
The mink was named Slink by the shelter stuff. Slink is a domesticated mink, so he will not be returned into the wild.
