Ferrets' top 3 favourite toys

Ferrets have a lot of energy, and if they don't release it they become anxious and destructive.

It is very important that a ferret has toys that are safe for him/her to play with.

I have purchased most ferret toys on the market and many of them turned out to be of a low quality, unsafe or completely useless. I put together a list of the best ferret toys I have had. These 3 are by far the most popular among all ferrets that I have had. I hope this information saves you time and money!

1. The turtle/ octopus

The turtle is fun to play with and is cozy to sleep in.

Pros: ferrets love it, it is affordable, it will last for some time, it can be folded and does not take up much space.

Cons: it had a bad synthetic smell when it arrived (the smell went away after several days), turtle shell print faded after the first wash.

2. Hammocks

Ferrets simply love hammocks! I have not seen a single ferret who would not jump in a hammock straight away when given a chance. There are many different kinds on the market. I have tried different ones but was not fully satisfied with any of them.

Pros: ferrets are crazy about them, it can entertain a ferret while it is in the cage, it hangs, so it does not take up square footage in the cage.

Cons: needs to be washed often so that it does not collect the odour, can be pricey as it wears off fast and needs to be replaced often.

3. The tunnel.

The best ferret toy ever. If you still don't have it, get it right now! Your ferret will be happy. There is not a single ferret in the world, who does not enjoy playing with a tunnel.

Pros: ferret's favourite, easy to wash, well worth its price.

Cons: I can't think of any.
