  1. Ferret shelters are amazing! I used to volunteer at the Washington Ferret Rescue & Shelter (http://www.washingtonferret.org/), and the team there is incredibly knowledgable and passionate. Ferrets are dropped off for many different reasons, and some of the ferrets come in with very poor health. These folks work tirelessly to make sure the ferrets are healthy and happy. If anyone is unable or not ready to adopt, I encourage you to consider volunteering!
